This legislation aims to govern the use of AI within the EU, ensuring the safe, transparent, and ethical development of this innovation. The law establishes specific rules based on the risk level associated with AI systems, ranging from the prohibition of applications posing unacceptable risks to strict requirements for high-risk systems. Simultaneously, the EU supports innovation by offering companies, particularly SMEs and startups, opportunities to experiment in controlled environments.
