The law establishes specific rules based on the risk level associated with AI systems, ranging from the prohibition of applications posing unacceptable risks to strict requirements for high-risk systems. Simultaneously, the EU supports innovation by offering companies, particularly SMEs and startups, opportunities to experiment in controlled environments. Adopted in 2024, this law will be gradually implemented, marking a major advancement in AI regulation, while protecting European citizens and boosting business competitiveness.
